Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy may not be a sure thing to become a head coach in 2021 as a new report hints there is a sense he could remain with the Chiefs.

Don’t let this news spoil the first round of the playoffs, but Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert is generating interest from other teams that are starting over. And in this case, it’s the Detroit Lions.

In a season where very little went right for the Lions, the offensive line was a bright spot. Ragnow anchored that unit despite suffering a fractured throat in Week 14.

If Stafford’s final game with Detroit came Sunday against the Vikings, it was fitting that two bad calls helped Minnesota escape with a win.

Detroit has needs up and down its roster, especially on defense. It might wind up with a need at quarterback. You can argue the need already exists.

It’s no sure thing the Lions will move Stafford at all. In fact, the early signs point toward him returning for at least one more season in Detroit.

Just one of the NFL’s bottom 10 teams in sacks this season and just two of the bottom 15 made the playoffs. Detroit finished tied for 26th.

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins may have benefitted from arguably the worst roughing the passer call of the season, but even he had to admit he got away with one.

An organization that believes it is close to contention doesn’t trade its franchise quarterback. Especially when that organization has been dedicated to that quarterback from the start.
