Meet the Voice of the Swamp Rabbits:  Jordan Kuhns

Jordan was named the Director of Media Relations & Broadcaster of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in September of 2018. The Philadelphia-area native joins the Swamp Rabbits organization after serving as the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL for three seasons.

While in Dubuque, he called over 200 games on the radio home of the Saints and served as the team’s primary media contact and creative director. The USHL selected Kuhns as a member of an exclusive number of media directors to represent the league at the 2016 NHL Draft in Buffalo, and the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago. There, he provided interview and video content for the USHL to profile the record number of players that had been drafted into the NHL.

Kuhns is no stranger to the Palmetto State. In the summer of 2015, he served as the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations with the Lexington County Blowfish of the Coastal Plain League. He helped bridge the gap in transitioning the team from Columbia to Lexington, and assisted the team in winning CPL Organization of the Year. Additionally, Kuhns was selected as CPL Broadcaster of the Year at the conclusion of the season as the only CPL broadcaster to broadcast all 56 regular season games, and all Pettit Cup playoff games.

A cum laude graduate of Millersville University in 2012, Kuhns was a frequent voice of Millersville University athletics on the Marauder Sports Broadcasting Network between 2010 and 2014, and was a broadcasting pioneer at the school, as he was the school’s first-ever broadcaster and media director for the ACHA club hockey team, where he created an entire media department from scratch.
