Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was suspended indefinitely by the New York Giants after a meeting with Coach Ben McAdoo Thursday morning.

Rodgers-Cromartie came in Tuesday (Oct. 10) for a meeting about his behavior, after having an angry outburst for being taken out of Sunday’s(Oct. 8) game to the Chargers. He was suspended initially on Wednesday for walking out. Rodgers-Cromartie was by Coach McAdoo told that he would be inactive for Sunday’s (Oct. 15) game against the Broncos and fined for leaving a recovery session Friday before completing the session.

Rodgers-Cromartie is set to be suspended for the next 4 weeks in which he will lose $410,588 for each week that he is suspended.

While Rodgers-Cromartie situation seems harsh we also have to take in to account that this suspension was provoked by his actions and his actions alone. DRC decided to wear his emotions on his sleeve and not hold up his end of the deal as a professional athlete; which is to play football and conduct himself in an orderly fashion that will not reflect poorly on the team or NFL. Rodgers-Cromartie made a poor decision and now it’s time for him to move on and focus on getting back on the field.
