On the Road Again

The Rebels will be traveling to Northwestern on Friday.

After much anticipation, the Byrnes Rebels took the field on Friday night in Greer, South Carolina for their first matchup of the season with the Greer Yellowjackets. 

Efficiency, accuracy, and grit are three words to desrcibe the performance of Lawerence Scott on Friday night. The Byrnes Quarterback was 14-18 throwing for 249 yards and 3 touchdowns. With 4:26 remaning in the 1st quarter, Scott connected with Braylin Johnson to find the endzone for the first touchdown of the season. Johnson hauled in four receptions for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rahjai Harris led the ground game for the Rebels carrying the rock thirteen times for 81 yards and 1 touchdown. 

Byrnes faced adversity in the first half of this game after a safety and a Greer touchdown that gave the yellowjackets the lead. In the 2nd half, the Rebels were able to get the offense going and take a commanding lead which would eventually be the final score, 33-8. 

This Friday, the Rebels travel to take on the Northwestern Trojans in District 3 stadium. Northwestern is under first year head coach in Page Wofford. Listen to every play on ESPN Upstate Friday night beginning at 7:00pm with the Byrnes Pregame Show.
