Cole’s Record:

Overall: 92-20

Last Week: 13-1

Tonight I will be picking 18 games.

Blythewood at Laurens: Bengals of Blythewood are 5-5, while Laurens is the 8-1 region champs. I do think Laurens is the better team, especially with their tricky style of offense. The Raider rushing attack will need to be big during these cold playoffs as it has been throughout the season. Blythewood got the at large bid to get into the playoffs, but I think the Bengals season ends tonight.

Cole's Pick: Laurens 29, Blythewood 17

Nation Ford at Byrnes: Nation Ford finished 6-4 on the season, finishing 3rd in the region. Byrnes finished the season with a 9-1 record. I like Byrnes to dominate the line of scrimage in this game and I think that will be what gives Rahjai Harris enough to get going. I am unsure that Nation Ford has a way to stop a rested Rahjai. The Rebels defense is coming off of their 4th shutout of the season, and I like this defense to give the Falcons offense many problems. Nation Ford has a very good rushing attack of its own, but I am unsure that it rivals Rahjai Harris.

Cole's Pick: Byrnes 35, Nation Ford 14

Woodmont at Sumter: Woodmont finished 6-4 this season under Jet Turner and Sumter finished 9-0. I think this game will be closee than most think. I have been back and forth all week with this one, but as of Friday I am going with Sumter to edge out the Wildcats of Woodmont. The Fighting Gamecocks will fight one week longer after tonight, but I think this one will come down to the 4th quarter.

Cole's Pick: Sumter 31, Woodmont 28

Gaffney at Rock Hill: This is a matchup with two teams that are 7-3. Rock Hill has dropped games to Sumter, South Pointe, & Clover. The Rock Hill defense has given up an average of 14.8 points per game this sesson, and the bearcats will have to lean heavily on the defense to show up and show out tonight against a very potent Gaffney offense. Gaffney has dropped games to Mallard Creek, Byrnes, & Dorman. We have talked about this alot, but Stan Ellis being back on this roster is huge for Gaffney. Undre Lindsey is also playing with much more confidence and playing his best football of the season. I like Gaffney to pull away in the 2nd half.

Cole's Pick: Gaffney 41, Rock Hill 24

Greenwood at Dorman: What a season for the Dave Gutshall led Dorman Cavaliers. A remarkable 10-0 season gives Dorman the #1 seed where they now host Greenwood. The Greenwood Eagles finished the season 6-4 capping off the regular season with a 28-14 win over JL Mann. I hate this for Greenwood, but tonight will be their last football game of 2019. Dorman will come out rested and will put this game away early.

Cole's Pick: Dorman 42, Greenwood 17

Westside at Spring Valley: The Scott Earley led Rams finished the season 5-4 while Spring Valley finished 5-5. I think this game will be very close and I have had much trouble picking this game. Westside did not start the season playing good football, but this team has improved alot as of late. Spring Valley has much momentum after a big 42-21 win last week over Blythewood. I think Spring Valley will edge out the Rams,

Cole's Pick: Spring Valley 35, Westside 21

Boiling Springs at Clover: The Bulldogs finished the season 4-6 and 3-4 in the region, while Clover won their region and finished 10-0. Brian Lane has done a great job getting this Clover football program to the top of their region and really being a threat in the playoffs. The Blue Eagles are coming off of a 45-10 win over Fort Mill while the Bulldogs of Boiling Springs come off of a 28-0 loss to Byrnes. Rick Tate and the Bulldogs have been unable to find any offense as of late and it is very important to find the offense tonight as Clover can put up some serious points. I do not know if the Bulldogs will be able to subdue Jalin Lane and this high powered Blue Eagle offense. I like Clover to win by a large margin.

Cole's Pick: Clover 38, Boiling Springs 10

Mauldin at TL Hanna: TL Hanna finished the season witth a 7-2 record, while Mauldin finished 5-5. I think this game has the potential to be close but I am not quite smelling an upset. At times, Mauldin has showed primise this season, but they have also struggled against upper echelon teams. I like TL Hanna to pull away in the 2nd half and advance to the 2nd round.

Cole's Pick: TL Hanna 39, Mauldin 21

Palmetto at Greenville: The Mustangs of Palmetto finished 5-5 this season under Doug Shaw while Greenville comes off a region championship. I like Greenville to take care of business against a sub-par Palmetto team. In this case, I think the Greg Porter led Red Raiders are simply the much better team and I like Greenville to roll.

Cole's Pick: Greenville 42, Palmetto 20

Greer at South Pointe: Greer finished 3-7 while South Pointe finished 10-0. I know that Greer has finished the season playing much better football than how they started the season. Will Young made a QB change and it has seemed to benefit the Yellowjackets. South Pointe is a tall task for this Greer team who has not showed many signs of consistency this season. The Stallions are coming off of a 48-21 win over York & I like the South Pointe to win in similar fashion this week. Greer has had a tough season and that season will come to an end tonight.

Cole's Pick: South Pointe 42, Greer 21

Travelers Rest at Ridge View: Ridge View finished 6-4 under Perry Parks this season and Travelers Rest finished 8-2. I think Ridge View is the more battle tested team. South Pointe was the only region team to knock off Ridge View this season and the Blazers with a dominating 35-9 win over Lancaster. The Devil Dogs however, have soemthing to prove in this one. Travelers Rest is looking to win their 3rd straight this week. All week, I have been leaning Ridge View, but as of Friday, I am changing my pick and I am calling for Travelers Rest to go on the road and take down the Ridge View Blazers.

Cole's Pick: Travelers Rest 31, Ridge View 28

Southside at Pendleton: Southside has faced much adversity this season and their season is on the line tonight as they travel to the 7-3 Pendleton Bulldogs. The Bulldogs have won 5 straight and I think they will make it 6 straight tonight at home.

Cole's Pick: Pendleton 35, Southside 19

Indian Land at Woodruff: I am picking Woodruff to win this football game, but man I am not 100% confident. The Wolverines have not been playing their best football as of late. Bradley Adams squad finished the season 7-3 while struggling in their final two games against Mid-Carolina & Clinton. Indian Land finished 5-6 on the season and I think this will be the last game of the season for the Warriors. I am rolling with the Wolverines, but I do think it will be close.

Cole's Pick: Woodruff 34, Indian Land 24

Liberty at Chapman: Liberty finished the season 3-7 under Kyle Stewart, and their toughest task of the season is a trip down to Inman, SC. Chapman has been a well oiled machine this entire season, and I do not think the train will stop tonight. I like Mark Hodge to win his 11th straight tonight against Liberty.

Cole's Pick: Chapman 50, Liberty 14

Fairfield-Central at Union County: The Yellowjackets of Union County finished 7-3 on the season while Fairfield-Central finished 5-6. I have been super impressed with Union County this region season and the way they have been so dominant during their region stretch. The red hot YellowJackets have won 7 straight games, and I like them to continue on this stretch. In the last 5 games for Unoin County, they have outscored opponets by a score of 215-91. Brian Thompson and the Jackets will roll into the second round of the playoffs.

Cole's Pick: Union County 42, Fairfield Central 21

Chesnee at Seneca: The Chesnee Eagles finished 4-6 under Clay Lewis while Seneca finished 4-6 as well. I think this game will be very close and I am leaning Chesnee. The Eagles held the red hot Chapman Panthers to just 35 points last week and I think their tricky offensive scheme will be trouble for Seneca. The Bobcats of Seneca are coming off of a huge 55-25 loss to the Bulldogs of Pendleton. Clay Lewis & his Chesnee squad will go on the road and take care of business.

Cole's Pick: Chesnee 30, Seneca 20

Powdersville at Broome: Broome finished 5-5 on the season while Powdersville finished 3-7. Powdersville has struggled to find consistency on offense and has also given up alot of points on defense. I like Broome to get things going early and get on top of Powdersville early. The Centurions finished the region with a 3-1 record and are coming off of a dominating 54-16 win over Carolina Academy.

Cole's Pick: Broome 30, Powdersville 19

Ninety Six at Southside Christian: Southside Christian should take care of business after finishing 9-1 on the season. Ninety Six finished 4-6. I like the Sabres to get off to a hot start and never look back and take down the Wildcats of Ninety Six.

Cole's Pick: Southside Christian 40, Ninety Six 14
