Almost nothing has gone according to plan in Gase’s first year as the team’s head coach. The Jets are 1-7 in a season that has been filled with poor play and drama in the locker room. Some fans have had enough and are now calling for Gase to be fired.

A group of those fans are letting the entire city know how they feel about Gase. On Friday, a plane was spotted flying around New York City with a banner that read “Fire Adam Gase Now.”

It was only a matter of time before someone got creative enough with their discontent to organize something like this. According to Sports Illustrated, the plane and banner are the result of a fundraising campaign by a group of Jets fans.

Jason in Hackensack, one of the fans behind the Go Fund Me page collecting money for the flyover, joined Joe and Evan Friday to discuss their attempt at nudging the Jets' front office to fire Gase. According to Jason, they haven't even spent half the money that was raised, so the 'Fire Adam Gase Now' advertisements could continue.

On Sunday, the Jets will face the Giants in a battle to determine which New York team is better, and also to determine which New York team is worse. Both teams have had horrible seasons, but the Jets’ season has been downright embarrassing at times, while the Giants' campaign has simply been mediocre.

Gase was able to point to Sam Darnold’s mononucleosis as an excuse for the Jets’ early-season issues, but Darnold is back and healthy now, and he isn’t showing the development that the team would have hoped to have seen from the second-year QB who is supposed to be turning into the face of the franchise.

There was also the situation with Kelechi Osemele, where the team tried to get him to play through a torn labrum in his shoulder. Osemele has now filed an injury grievance against the Jets. It was another incident that is a bad look for Gase and company.

It seems like a safe bet that Jets fans will voice their displeasure with Gase during Sunday's game as well, especially if it starts to go south for Gang Green.
