The Brooklyn Nets have announced the Kevin Durant is out for Tuesday night’s game against Utah for what the team calls “health and safety protocols.”

According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, the move is indeed COVID-19 related, and is a result of a contact tracing issue - and insider Shams Charania reports that Durant will likely have to quarantine for seven days, meaning he will miss at least the next four games.

Durant previously tested positive for Coronavirus in March, and said he was asymptomatic at the time of the positive test.

"I'm alive," he told the Washington Post this spring. "That's it. That's all I can tell you. I'm good. The unknown is always scary, but I had a lot of support. I knew if I needed anything, I could call someone. [As a society], we still haven't figured this whole thing out."
