Cam Newton Shares Thoughts on Panthers, Next Page With Patriots in YouTube Video
A day after agreeing to a deal with the Patriots, Cam Newton posted a video to his YouTube page titled, "Farewell Carolina, Hello New England."
The five-minute video is pretty much a farewell to the Panthers where he tries to clarify what happened prior to being released last March.
Listen Live Now on ESPN Upstate“Don’t believe the hype," Newton said. "I never once, and I’ll say this, never once wanted to leave Carolina. Don’t let them make you believe. It was their decision. I stuck with it and I knew that, so I asked for a trade.”
Following some highlights of his work on and off the field in Carolina over the years, a Patriots logo is shown and Newton says, "I’m going to keep this (expletive) brief -- I’m at your neck."
