There's a real chance that Landers Nolley won't play at Memphis in the 2020-21 season based on today's news from Stadium's Jeff Goodman and other outlets:

It’s now “highly unlikely” that the one-time transfer waiver will go into effect immediately after the Board of Directors recommended that changes are not appropriate at this time, sources told @Stadium. Vote still scheduled (for now) on May 20.

Unless Nolley receives a "release", which is unlikely, the lack of a one-time transfer waiver rule change by the NCAA would likely mean he would have to sit out at Memphis for 2020-21. Nolley has already sent messages out about entering the NBA draft and once sat out an entire season due to academic questions entering Virginia Tech. Given all of that, it's likely he would not wait out another season at Memphis.
