The first 5 minutes of Monday night’s National Championship game between Alabama and Clemson indicated it could be one for the ages.

The Tigers now turn their attention to rebuilding their defense, and getting ready for their 2019 regular season opener against Georgia Tech on August 29th.

The future looks bright for the Clemson Tigers offense as their star QB Trevor Lawrence will return for his sophomore season.

Clemson has officially been crowned National Champions for the second time in three years. Now the question is have they become a dynasty?

Dabo Swinney has now joined rare company, having beaten Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide in two National Championships.

Clemson manhandled the Crimson Tide and grabbed their biggest win in school history, as they claimed their 3rd ever National Championship.

In what was supposed to be a challenging game for the Tigers, turned out to be a 44-16 blowout victory over Alabama.

Clemson’s defense suffocated the Crimson Tide offense for the majority of the game, while their offense torched the Alabama defense for 482 total yards.

Once the Tigers built their 2 possession lead, their defense pinned their ears back and came after Alabama.

The Alabama offense made several great plays and sustained several long drives, but their turnovers and failure to convert a couple of key 4th down conversions, allowed Clemson to build a lead.

Clemson’s defense set the tone early when A.J. Terrell stepped in front of a Tua Tagovailoa pass, and took it in for 6 points.

Both teams got off to a fast start, scoring 3 touchdowns in the first 5 minutes, but the game very quickly became a one sided affair.
