Must Watch: Blues' 11-Year-Old Superfan Fighting Cancer Surprised with Game 7 Trip

June 12, 2019 - 2:36 pm

The St. Louis Blues have made 11-year-old Laila Anderson, who is fighting cancer, cry tears of joy once again because she gets to watch her favorite team play in the biggest game the sport of hockey has to offer - Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.

The team is sending her to Boston for the biggest game in Blues' history. You can watch Laila getting the news in the video above.

Anderson burst into tears, just like last month when she was told her doctor said she was healthy enough to make it to Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

She suffers from a very rare form of cancer called Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis and until recently has been either stuck in a hospital or confined to her home. She could only leave the house if she was going to the hospital, as the disease attacks the immune system.

Whichever team you're rooting for in Game 7, we can all root for Laila. She is St. Louis Strong. She is Boston Strong. She is Laila Strong.

The Stanley Cup will be in Boston, and so will she. What a night it will be.
